PRINTS
This piece is about the deconstruction and reconstruction of Robert Rauschenberg’s Untitled (1955) and Almanac (1962). The original structure and composition are disrupted. Different parts of the original works are combined in a new order. Their proportions to each other are changed. Colors and textures are removed. Sculptural elements such as parachute and fabric, which were originally used by Rauschenberg to break down the boundaries between painting and sculpture, are brought back to the plane in the form of printed halftones in this new-built image.
